Manufactured in Taiwan, this unique line of filaments is infused with real, natural agricultural byproducts — including recycled coffee grounds, tea leaves, and rice husks. The result is a stunning ultra-matte finish, a unique tactile texture, and a subtle natural aroma while printing.

1. Why Add Natural Fibers to PLA?

Infusing PLA with natural organic matter does more than just change the color. It fundamentally alters the physical properties of the printed part in three key ways:

• Zero Layer Lines: The natural fibers disrupt the specular reflection of the plastic. Instead of catching the light, the surface absorbs it, creating an ultra-matte finish that makes layer lines virtually invisible to the naked eye.
• Premium Texture: Parts printed in PLA Flavor have a slightly rough, stone-like or wood-like tactile feel. They do not feel like cheap plastic; they feel like crafted artifacts.
• Eco-Friendly Upcycling: By utilizing agricultural waste (like coffee grounds from cafes or husks from rice mills), we reduce the total amount of virgin plastic required per spool, giving a second life to materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

2. Meet the QTS PLA Flavor Lineup

Every spool in the Flavor Series is precision-extruded to 1.75mm (±0.03mm) and is compatible with standard brass nozzles (no hardened steel nozzle required).

3. Printing Tips for PLA Flavor

Printing with organic-infused PLA is very similar to standard PLA, but a few minor tweaks will yield the best results:

• Nozzle Temp: 190°C – 210°C. Do not exceed 220°C, as the natural fibers can burn and darken the color of the print.
• Bed Temp: 50°C – 60°C.
• Retraction: You may need to slightly increase your retraction distance (by 0.5mm to 1mm) compared to standard PLA to prevent stringing caused by the fibers.
• Nozzle Size: While a standard 0.4mm nozzle works perfectly, a 0.6mm nozzle can be used for faster printing and zero risk of fiber clogs.
