QTS ENGR High Temp 405nm UV Resin (1kg) - 270°C (518°F) Heat Resistance | Engineering Grade for Molds & Tooling
QTS ENGR High Temp is a professional-grade 405nm UV resin engineered for extreme thermal environments. Featuring an industry-leading Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 270°C (518°F) after post-processing, it is the ultimate choice for injection mold prototypes, heat-resistant fixtures, and functional testing in high-heat conditions. Developed in Taiwan, this resin combines high rigidity (Shore 90D) with exceptional dimensional stability for the most demanding industrial applications.
QTS ENGR High Temp UV Resin
Extreme Thermal Stability: Engineered for Environments up to 270°C
Unlock the potential of high-temperature 3D printing with QTS ENGR High Temp. This professional-grade engineering resin is specifically formulated to withstand extreme thermal stress, boasting a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 270°C after proper post-processing. Developed in Taiwan, it combines glass-like rigidity with exceptional chemical resistance, making it the premier choice for injection mold inserts, high-temperature fluid manifolds, and electronic testing fixtures.
Key Advantages
- ▶ Extreme Heat Resistance (270°C HDT): Maintains structural integrity and dimensional accuracy in environments that would melt or deform standard resins.
- ▶ Superior Mechanical Strength (70.5 MPa): After thermal curing, the tensile strength more than doubles, providing industrial-grade durability for functional parts.
- ▶ High Rigidity (3380 MPa Modulus): Delivers the stiffness required for precise engineering components and mold inserts under pressure.
- ▶ Excellent Chemical Resistance: Resists degradation when exposed to various industrial fluids and high-temperature gases.
⚠️ CRITICAL: Two-Step Thermal Post-Curing
To achieve the full 270°C HDT and maximum mechanical strength, your prints MUST undergo the following two-step process:
- Step 1: UV + Heat Curing - Place the print in a heated UV chamber at 60°C for 60 minutes. (The material will turn from translucent yellow to dark green).
- Step 2: High-Temp Baking - Immediately move the print to a high-temp oven. Ramp up to 160°C and bake for 120 minutes. (The material will return to a translucent yellow color).
Note: For thicker parts, please extend the curing and baking times accordingly.
Applications & Use Cases
- Low-Volume Injection Molding: Print mold inserts for rapid prototyping with production-grade plastics.
- Electronic Testing Fixtures: Ideal for burn-in test sockets and components exposed to soldering heat.
- High-Temp Fluid Manifolds: Visualize and test hot gas or liquid flow in complex internal geometries.
- Under-the-Hood Automotive: Functional testing of components in high-heat environments.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I use the part without the 160°C baking step? A: You can, but the HDT will only be around 89°C. The high-temperature baking step is essential to trigger the secondary cross-linking that provides the 270°C resistance.
Q: Does the color change affect the part? A: No, the color change is a natural indicator of the chemical transformation occurring within the resin during the thermal curing process.
