Bring industrial-grade durability to your desktop with QTS PP-like. Engineered to replicate the toughness, flexibility, and low-friction properties of Polypropylene (PP), this professional 405nm UV resin features a 40% elongation at break, making it the ultimate choice for functional snap-fits, living hinges, and impact-resistant enclosures. Its semi-rigid nature allows for repeated bending without brittle failure, while its potential for optical clarity makes it perfect for transparent functional prototypes.

QTS PP-LIKE — THE TOUGH, SEMI-RIGID SOLUTION FOR FUNCTIONAL ENGINEERING
In product development, a prototype is only as good as its ability to reflect the final product's performance. QTS PP-like is an engineering-grade resin meticulously formulated to mimic Polypropylene (PP)—one of the most widely used plastics in the industry. It replicates the core characteristics of PP: toughness, fatigue resistance, and low friction, allowing you to print functional snap-fits, living hinges, and durable housings that can withstand real-world testing.

WHY CHOOSE QTS?
  • TAIWANESE ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE: Developed and manufactured in Taiwan, QTS PP-like is the result of over 15 years of R&D in photopolymer chemistry, ensuring consistent quality and industrial-grade performance for professional makers worldwide.
  • TRUE LIVING HINGE CAPABILITY: With a 40% elongation at break, parts printed with PP-like can be bent and flexed repeatedly without snapping, making it the premier choice for verifying hinge designs.
  • 15+ YEARS OF INDUSTRY TRUST: Trusted by over 8,000 customers, QTS provides the reliability and technical expertise needed for complex engineering and product design projects.

KEY ADVANTAGES
  • EXCEPTIONAL TOUGHNESS & FLEXIBILITY: Engineered to absorb impact and resist brittle failure, perfect for parts that undergo stress, compression, or repeated movement.
  • OPTICAL CLARITY POTENTIAL: While naturally translucent, PP-like can achieve optical-grade transparency through sanding and clear coating, rivaling injection-molded acrylic.
  • LOW-FRICTION SURFACE: Mimics the self-lubricating properties of PP, ideal for parts that require smooth sliding or precision fitting with minimal wear.
  • LOW VISCOSITY (200-300 cps): Ensures excellent flowability for high-resolution details, easy cleaning, and a high print success rate compared to thick engineering resins.
  • NON-BRITTLE SNAP-FITS: The perfect material for functional clips, buckles, and container lids that need to be opened and closed thousands of times.
  • UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY: Fully tested and verified for Anycubic, Elegoo, Phrozen, Creality, and other professional 405nm 3D printers.

APPLICATIONS & USE CASES
  • FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPES: Snap-fits, buckles, container lids, and enclosures that require repeated opening and closing.
  • LIVING HINGES: One-piece molded hinge structures for real-world bending and fatigue testing.
  • TRANSPARENT COMPONENTS: High-clarity enclosures, covers, light guides, and fluidic observation windows (after post-processing).
  • IMPACT-RESISTANT PARTS: Jigs, fixtures, and protective components that must withstand mechanical stress and impact.
  • CONSUMER ELECTRONICS: Custom cases, protective sleeves, and internal structural components that require a balance of rigidity and toughness.

HOW TO USE - BEST PRACTICES
  1. PREPARATION: Shake the resin gently for 1-2 minutes before use. Store in a cool, dark place (15-35°C).
  2. PRINTING: Use a calibration test to find the optimal exposure for your specific hardware. Ensure adequate support for functional geometries.
  3. CLEANING: Clean parts immediately with 95% isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
  4. UV POST-CURING: CRITICAL. To achieve maximum toughness, UV cure for 20 minutes on each side (total 40 minutes) to ensure full cross-linking.
  5. ACHIEVING HIGH CLARITY (OPTIONAL): Wet sand the cured model with sandpaper (400 -> 800 -> 1200 -> 2000 grit) until smooth, then apply a high-quality clear coat for an optical-grade finish.

PRINTER COMPATIBILITY
Tested and verified with:
  • Anycubic Photon Series
  • Elegoo Mars & Saturn Series
  • Phrozen Sonic Series
  • Miicraft DLP Printers
  • And most professional 405nm LCD/DLP/SLA printers.

WHY QTS PP-LIKE OUTPERFORMS COMPETITORS
  • VS. STANDARD TOUGH RESINS: Many "tough" resins are still too brittle for living hinges. QTS PP-like provides the specific fatigue resistance needed for repeated bending.
  • VS. RIGID CLEAR RESINS: Unlike standard clear resins that shatter, PP-like offers the same clarity potential with the added benefit of industrial-grade toughness.
  • SURFACE QUALITY: Engineered to provide a smooth, low-friction finish that is easy to handle and post-process for professional results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: Can I really print a living hinge with this?
A: Yes! When designed with the correct thickness (typically 0.3mm - 0.6mm for the hinge area), PP-like can withstand hundreds of flex cycles.
Q: Is it as clear as the Basic Clear Plus?
A: Out of the printer, it is translucent. However, with proper sanding and clear coating, it can achieve a level of transparency that rivals our dedicated clear resins.
Q: How does it compare to ABS-like resins?
A: PP-like is generally more flexible and has higher fatigue resistance (better for hinges), while ABS-like resins are often slightly more rigid.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORIES
  • PRODUCT ENGINEER: "We used QTS PP-like to prototype a new shampoo bottle cap with a living hinge. It survived our entire testing phase without a single failure. It's the best PP-simulating material we've found."
  • INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER: "The clarity we achieved after sanding was amazing. We used it for a transparent enclosure prototype that needed to be tough enough for drop testing."
  • MECHANICAL DESIGNER: "For snap-fit assemblies, this resin is a lifesaver. No more broken clips during the first assembly test."

SAFETY & STORAGE
  • Always wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area.
